Prevention & Treatment of Cauliflower Ear When the cartilage of the ear is injured, it is separated from the tissue underneath, and pools with fluid. The collection of fluid is called a hematoma. When the hematoma heals, it forms a clot, and eventually the fluid is replaced with calcium and scar tissue, creating what is known as cauliflower ear.

CauliBuds™ apply compression to the ear to prevent the fluid from filling that cavity, either after draining or before swelling has occurred. Without CauliBuds™, cauliflower ear may require an expensive surgery to treat.
